Freshman Representative Ron DeSantis (R-FL-6) is a vocal opponent of the so-called "Marketplace Fairness Act," or as Campaign for Liberty calls it, the National Internet Tax Mandate.
In addition to signing Rep. Thomas Massie's (R-KY-4) letter to leadership opposing the Internet Tax Mandate, DeSantis joined Massie on the House floor for the special order floor speech in May explaining why they oppose this legislation.
This week, DeSantis posted an interview with a constituent, Jason Spillers, who is the owner of Coastal Moto in Ormond Beach. Jason outlines his concerns, particularly the exposure to expensive audits from potentially 46 state authorities, and explains why he fears the negative effects an Internet sales tax would have on small businesses like his across the country.
