With Kevin McCarthy (Cantor's handpicked replacement) remaining the only announced candidate for Majority Leader, it's all the more vital for the grassroots to weigh in with their Republican representatives to urge them to support Raul Labrador (R-ID-1) for House Majority Leader.
As Megan wrote this morning, McCarthy's ascension to Leader would show that House Republicans have learned nothing from Eric Cantor's stunning defeat this week, and may suggest to voters that many of them might end up deserving to be "Cantor'd" themselves.
If House Republicans want to show they're listening to voters, they need to elect a Majority Leader who represents and will work with grassroots conservatives and libertarians.
That leader should be Raul Labrador.
Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY-4), a strong leader in the liberty movement said of Labrador,
"Raul is one of the most intelligent and principled conservative members of congress. He would make a great leader. "
