Dear South Carolinian,
Are you mad about your higher energy bills that were supposed to pay for the failed nuclear reactors?
For years SCE&G and Santee Cooper have been over charging customers to pay for two reactors that won’t be completed. Now these same companies are asking for permission to charge customers even more to pay for the failed project.
Thanks to South Carolina's laws, if you want to change power companies, you can’t. There is something you can do, though.
Sign the petition below to let legislators know that you want to be able to choose your energy provider. Tell them to deregulate the energy industry in South Carolina and eliminate the Public Service Commission (the agency that has allowed power companies to continue to raise rates for the failed project).
