Dear Catoosa Resident,
Does it seem like public schools always need money? We have given them property taxes and "ESPLOST", and they also receive money from the federal government! So now they want MORE money to ensure higher administrative pay raises?
A Cato Institute study shows that while government school employees continue to gobble up more and more tax dollars, students’ test scores have remained flat for 40 years!
The Catoosa School Board sold us “ESPLOST”, touting that it would prevent future property tax increases, yet now they insist they need higher salaries for government workers.
Please take a moment to send a clear and resounding message to the Catoosa County School Board that the citizens of Catoosa County will not tolerate another tax increase, by signing our petition below.

Catoosa Campaign for Liberty
Slash Wasteful Spending and Cut Property Taxes Petition to the Catoosa County Board of Education WHEREAS: “ESPLOST” has created numerous capital projects that now must be funded by property taxes, creating an endless need for property tax revenue; and WHEREAS: “ESPLOST” was sold to voters as a way to insulate Catoosa County from future property tax increases; and WHEREAS: A property tax increase directed at administration salaries is nothing more than a consequence of past government inefficiency and does not deserve a citizen “Bail Out”. THEREFORE: We the undersigned do hereby petition the Catoosa County Board of Education to abandon all of their tax hike schemes and work to actually cut wasteful spending in the county school budget. |
