The Environmental Protection Agency has declared war on West Virginia residents.
Under the Obama Administration's orders, the EPA is moving to further restrict coal production in our state and destroy our already weak economy. They also lay claim to every stream and pond on private property, as well as claiming regulatory authority over temporary wetlands and waterways, which will destroy our farming community.
And finally, the EPA is proposing a rule change that would dramatically tighten emissions requirements on new wood stoves - telling us how we can heat our homes.
Please sign our petition demanding the state of West Virginia exercise its authority under the Tenth Amendment and stand between the EPA and the citizens of West Virginia.

Whereas: We, the citizens of West Virginia, receive 96% of our electrical power from coal; and
Whereas: More than 30,000 West Virginians have been unemployed since 2008 due to the unconstitutional efforts of the EPA and the Obama Administration; and
Whereas: Due to EPA policies, 21% of our population lives in poverty; and
Whereas: The Constitution of the United States does not permit federal regulation of 'in state' commerce; and
Whereas: The President of the United States does not have the authority to create laws or regulations.
Therefore, as free citizens of the state of West Virginia, we demand that the state government exercise its authority under the Tenth Amendment of the US Constitution, and stand between the EPA and West Virginia citizens to protect them from agency attempts to penalize them for following West Virginia law.
