Governor Bentley is caving on ObamaCare expansion and it's critical you take action to stop him.
This scheme will cost Alabama taxpayers billions by creating a new permanent dependency class, and they’ll either have to make huge cuts in spending or raise taxes to pay for it.
States that have opted to expand their Medicaid programs under ObamaCare are millions of dollars – and in some cases billions of dollars – over budget.
When the state of Ohio came in over budget on their failed program, they actually took money from their pre-expansion program – meant for the truly needy – to pay for it!
If Alabama accepts ObamaCare expansion, there won’t be any escaping new taxes to fund it.
Not only that, but ObamaCare expansion will bring less health care freedom, more fraud, and lower quality medical care. And if expansion passes, it will be that much harder to get rid of ObamaCare for good.

Whereas: The Tenth Amendment of the Constitution of the United States reads as follows: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people"; and
Whereas: The Tenth Amendment assures that we, the people of the United States of America and each sovereign state in the Union of States, now have and have always had rights the federal government may not usurp; and
Whereas: The federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (“PPACA”), also known as ObamaCare, attempts to lure the states into expanding their Medicaid programs, which is optional under ObamaCare, by promising to pay certain costs associated with the expansion for a couple of years, leaving the state with the responsibility to pay all new administrative expenses and further added costs in the near future, which Alabama cannot afford; and
Whereas: Expanding Medicaid entitlements will cause irreparable harm to Alabama taxpayers and Alabama health care; and
Whereas: Governor Bentley and certain legislators are working diligently to bring Medicaid expansion to Alabama.
Therefore, be it resolved that we, the citizens of the great state of Alabama demand that our State Representatives and State Senators vote NO on any proposal that attempts to expand Medicaid in Alabama; and
Be it further resolved that we demand Governor Bentley end his support for ObamaCare by terminating his plans to expand Medicaid in Alabama.
