Please sign the petition to stop the water price hike!
Whereas: Another rate hike for water hurts families and businesses that are already over-taxed and over-regulated; and
Whereas: Failing to voice opposition to the trumped-up crisis that "the aquifers will run dry" only encourages county leaders to continue to raise our water bills; and
Whereas: We oppose the 30 percent usage reduction plan imposed on us by the Lone Star Ground Water Conservation District and the San Jacinto River Authority.
Therefore, be it resolved that we, the citizens of Montgomery County, demand that county politicians and their cronies on the San Jacinto River Authority board and the Lone Star Ground Water Conservation District cut wasteful spending instead of soaking residents and businesses with high water bills.
