Ron Paul and Norm Singleton on President Trump's withdraw from Climate Change Accord

Campaign for Liberty Chairman Ron Paul and President Norm Singleton released the following statement regarding President Trump’s withdrawal of the US from the Paris Climate Change agreement:

Ron Paul -- " The Paris climate change agreement was nothing but an excuse to put taxpayers on the hook for subsidizing even more “green energy” boondoggles, while imposing new job-killing regulations on the struggling US economy.  Even worse, this assault on America’s liberty and prosperity is done in the name of a mythical scientific consensus regarding both the danger of climate change and whether climate change is caused -- and can be cured -- by human action.

"Instead of trying to negotiate a “fair” international climate agreement, President Trump should work to restore respect for private property and contract rights. Private property owners are much better stewards of the environment than politicians and bureaucrats."

Norm Singleton -- “President Trump's withdrawal from the Paris climate change accords is a victory for free markets, constitutional government, and Campaign for Liberty members who have been fighting these types of schemes since they defeated President Obama’s cap-and-tax scheme in 2009.

"Campaign for Liberty will continue to oppose any efforts to infringe on our liberties in order to stop pretend climate change, whether in the form of legislation or a new intentional treaty. We also stand ready to help President Trump fulfill another campaign promise by making Congress send the Audit the Fed bill to his desk."
