H.B. 1696 passed the House Finance Committee last week, and Representative Hoell needs your immediate help to stop it on the House floor.
To end New Hampshire’s ill-advised ObamaCare expansion scheme, the only thing Republican legislators had to do was. . .
. . . nothing.
When ObamaCare expansion passed in New Hampshire, it had a “sunset clause.”
That’s right. This budget-busting burden would end this year. . . if New Hampshire House Republicans would just let it.
But New Hampshire Republican legislators in the House -- with Majority Leader Richard Hinch (603-271-3665) leading the charge -- are actually working to continue this rotten scheme.
Many of the Republican “converts” flipped to support ObamaCare expansion because of a work requirement that was amended into the bill.
But Representatives Hinch and Umberger want to stick in a clause that will allow the “work requirement” to be taken away later.
You see, having the appearance of a work requirement makes it easier to pass the bill.
It’s CRITICAL you contact your New Hampshire State Representative RIGHT NOW and demand they vote NO on Umberger floor amendment 2016-0902.
