Late last night, by a vote of 246-162, the House voted on, and passed, Rep Thomas Massie's hemp amendment C4L urged our members to take action on yesterday.
The amendment simply stated, “that no funds may be used by the Department of Justice or the Drug Enforcement Administration to violate the clear language of section 7606, which allows States to ‘grow or cultivate industrial hemp’ if ‘the industrial hemp is grown or cultivated for purposes of research conducted under an agricultural pilot program or other agricultural or academic research.’”
