For my first blog post as a Campaign For Liberty intern, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Maria Stavrou and I graduated in December 2010 from the University of Texas at Austin with a double major in Government and History.
After finishing school, I moved to Washington D.C. and interned at the American Hellenic Institute, where I served as a Congressional Assistant. After finishing my internship there, I was then hired onto the media team for Ron Paul's 2012 Presidential Campaign, which although stressful at times, was such a rewarding experience!
I am a devout libertarian and extremely passionate about politics -- even when not at work, I can't keep myself away from the news! I enjoy traveling (especially to Greece!) and discovering new restaurants in the D.C. area, as well as meeting other liberty-minded people from all across the world. I am excited to spend this semester with Campaign For Liberty, and can't wait to see what's in store!
