I don't follow sports, but Tim Thomas of the Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins created a bit of a stir by refusing to go to the White House for the usual presidential photo op. He explained:
I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People.
This is being done at the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial level. This is in direct opposition to the Constitution and the Founding Fathers vision for the Federal government.
He's absolutely right, of course. And he's right to blame both parties and all branches of government. We need more citizens standing up and saying No More! Only then will we be able to restore a limited government devoted to protecting individual liberty.
