As Americans prepare for what is likely the most unusual Thanksgiving of our lifetimes, many governors are calling for stricter lockdowns and curfews, telling families they can’t gather for the holidays, and even encouraging people to report their neighbors for not obeying mask and limited gathering mandates.
All the while, there is report after report of the same city and state “leaders” not following their own advice and Orwellian mandates by going maskless to parties and large gatherings. Typical that the “rules” apply to the people but not the politicians.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued guidelines for Thanksgiving including “keep music levels down so people don’t have to shout or speak loudly to be heard” and even “avoid singing.”
God forbid we enjoy our lives and celebrate time with our families and friends who we might not see next week, next month, or next year because of an accident or illness. Seems like the government wants Takesgiving rather than Thanksgiving as they look at every possible way to take away our rights and liberties.
So if you’re looking for “freedom,” perhaps you should head to Great Britain where it has been suggested by government officials that anyone who tests negative for COVID-19 twice in a week be given a “freedom pass.”
Those who meet the requirements will be given a letter, card, or document which can be produced as they move around the country in a “normal” fashion.
A source told The Telegraph this Freedom Pass “will allow someone to wander down the streets, and if someone else asks why they are not wearing a mask, they can show the card, letter or an App.”
This truly reeks of Nazi Germany or the Soviet era when one was forced to show their papers before being allowed to move freely around the country.
As for the United States, it’s time for Americans to rise up, say “enough is enough,” and show the only “Freedom Pass” they really need: the United States Constitution.
