Dear Brian,
Did you know that the FDA and USDA have SWAT teams?
According to the Justice Department, Americans "do not have a fundamental right to obtain any food they wish”.
The document goes on to say “There is no ‘deeply rooted’ historical tradition of unfettered access to foods of all kinds,” and “Plaintiffs’ assertion of a ‘fundamental right to their own bodily and physical health, which includes what foods they do and do not choose to consume for themselves and their families’ is similarly unavailing because plaintiffs do not have a fundamental right to obtain any food they wish”.
The federal government has taken a twisted view of interstate commerce and is using it to regulate every aspect of food production and consumption.
New stories continuously pop up about the federal government raiding a food co-op, or a dairy farmer, or some other local business. All under this self-proclaimed right to regulate every action and good on the planet.

The Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution states: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Is it time we exert these rights? Is it time for some real Tenth Amendment legislation in Michigan? Is it time to restore the proper balance of power in this country?
Nullifying federal aggression has a rich history starting with the principles of 1798 as expressed in the Virginia and Kentucky resolutions nullifying the Alien and Sedition Act. Nullification was also used to fight the Fugitive Slave Law and stop the Federal Government from turning Wisconsin citizens into slave hunters.
It's time to fight back. Help us by taking the following two actions:
- Contact your State Representative and tell them to cosponsor Tom McMillan's Food Freedom Legislation. Click here to find their contact information.
- Click here to volunteer to help get the word out, contribute to our newsletter, help with our candidate survey, or volunteer for our research team.
