WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

Harvard grad Sen. Chuck Schumer doesn't know author of Bill of Rights

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Harvard graduate, could use a lesson not only in history but in the First Amendment to the Constitution, you know, the document he swore to uphold and protect. The money quote from The Washington Times:

I think if Thomas Jefferson were looking down, the author of the Bill of Rights, on what’s being proposed here, he’d agree with it. He would agree that the First Amendment cannot be absolute.

Not only is this shocking because Thomas Jefferson did not write the Bill of Rights, but "Congress shall make no law" is pretty darn absolute. Currently 43(!) Democratic Senators have signed on to a Constitutional Amendment to change the First Amendment and limit political speech. This of course, would only help elected officials, by limiting those wishing to speak out against them. Luckily, the amendment is going no where.
