National Internet Tax Mandate Rears its Ugly Head

We face a grave threat over the next two weeks in the Senate of Harry Reid trying to attach the National Internet Tax Mandate to a House passed bill, the Internet Tax Freedom Act, which was intended to prevent new taxes on email and Internet access services.

The bill, which may come up as soon as next week, will likely be the object of procedural gimmicks by the hamfisted dictator of the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid.

This will likely be one of the last important bills the Senate takes up before the November election, so it's vital C4L's grassroots activists take action today by calling their senators and demanding they vote against any attempt to attach the so-called "Marketplace 'Fairness' Act" to the Internet Tax Freedom Act.

Here's Internet Policy Professional Brian Bieron explaining in 2013 why the so-called "Marketplace Fairness Act" threatens e-commerce and will contribute to the growth of government.
