There’s a lot of buzz lately about “code words”: words that sound benign but have sinister meanings, according to the experts, none of whom actually use them. I’ve never met anyone who intentionally used political code words. That gave me an idea. Why not make a compendium of code words? Not a glossary--it’s counterproductive to know those imaginary meanings--just a very long list. Then we can pepper our everyday speech freely (I almost said liberally) with code words, p*ssing off all our lefty-lib friends maximally, without so much as a scintilla of awareness of all the lurid images arising in their brains.
