WHO WE ARE GET INVOLVED CANDIDATE SURVEYS ON THE ISSUES ABOUT AUDIT THE FED

Yellen Roll Call

Below are the results of Monday night's 56-26 vote to confirm Janet Yellen to be the next Federal Reserve Chair.  Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid still refuses to hold a vote on Audit the Fed, but Campaign for Liberty will continue educating and mobilizing Americans to advance this issue.

Unfortunately, Senator Paul's flight to D.C. from Kentucky was delayed by weather today.  Though he missed the vote, Senator Paul delivered a speech on the Senate floor after arriving to strongly advocate for an audit.

Senator Cruz released a statement noting his opposition to Yellen's nomination and calling for an audit of the Fed (read the full statement here), saying:

I'm also troubled that Ms. Yellen continues to oppose full transparency at the Fed -- we need to audit the Fed now, so the American people can fully understand the scope and consequences of its recent extraordinary policies.

According to The New York Times, tonight's vote was "the thinnest margin of Senate approval for a Fed chairman in the central bank’s history."  Our members have already helped us bring this issue to the mainstream of political debate  and change that discussion, and we must press on to victory.

Keep the pressure on the Senate by contacting your senators today and urging them to support S. 209, the Audit the Fed bill!
