Earlier today, Norm Singleton joined Congressmen Thomas Massie and Steve Daines, Senator Ted Cruz, and more at a press conference on Capitol Hill to speak out against the National Internet Tax Mandate.
Make no mistake, the only reason the Mandate hasn’t so far cleared the U.S. House, after passing in the Senate, is thanks to the dedication and commitment of C4L members and like-minded Americans in making their voices heard.
Today, you and I have another chance to use our grassroots pressure to make a difference – by fighting back against the national surveillance state’s latest sneak attack.
The Senate is expected to vote on cloture on the USA FREEDOM Act any time now.
And like so much legislation I saw come across Dr. Ron Paul’s desk while he was in Congress, there’s more to this bill than meets the eye.
Security statists are using the USA FREEDOM Act as a vehicle to extend key provisions of the so-called “Patriot” Act and other civil liberties-violating legislation until 2017, since they are currently set to expire in June 2015.
